Who We Are
Wings for Youth (WFY) Trust is based in Udaipur (Rajasthan), India. The WFY trust is a non-profit organization established to provide academic and extra-curricular opportunities to youth who might lack financial means to pursue their passions. Inspired by vision and dedication of its young founders – Mr. Siddhartha Somani and Ms. Kimaya Somani, the foundation aims to channel resources in a true spirit of giving back to community by providing financial support to deserving youth to pursue their schooling and any non-academic pursuit that they are passionate about.
Our Inspiration
Siddhartha Somani
Siddhartha (Sid) is currently a high school senior at Montverde Academy, Florida, USA. Passionate about golf and computers, Siddhartha has lived in India, Hong Kong and USA and has played high school golf for last 4 years. In Sid’s own words – “I have been fortunate to have support of my family to pursue my passions and study at top notch academic and sporting academies. I have been lucky to have been surrounded by caring and compassionate people both at home and at school. This has shaped my desire to contribute back to society in a sustainable and meaningful way. Having had this fortune, I see enabling others who may not be fortunate enough to have financial means to pursue their dreams as my responsibility and duty to community. We will strive to gather resources and enable youth to overcome financial obstacles and fulfill their potential. We hope to let dreams soar. One of our cherished goals is to grow the impact of WFY organization and create a multiplier effect by inspiring more such efforts. It might sound clichéd but I truly believe that world can be made a better place by creating hope and giving dreams a chance to become reality.”
Kimaya Somani
Kimaya is an 8th grade student of MDS Senior Secondary School in Udaipur. An accomplished classical dancer, Kimaya has travelled widely and given dance performances across India and overseas.
Kimaya wants to pursue her Indian classical dance skills further and is motivated by the cause of creating similar opportunities for her peer students who might not be as fortunate as her. Kimaya says “lot of students, particularly girl students, are not able to pursue their passions due to lack of opportunity and financial means.
Through WFY, we want to give more students a chance to explore their passions and express themselves whether through sports, cultural activities or academics. We want to contribute in creating a world where hopes and dreams can get wings to fly higher.”

Wings For Youth organization’s (WFY) core beliefs and values lie in a simple yet powerful thought – all dreams deserve to have a chance to become a reality. At WFY, we hope to contribute in our small way to identify the dreams which need support, dreams which need nurturing, and dreams which need wings.
We aim to provide financial assistance to deserving students with empathy and commit to fully preserving students’ and their families’ dignity. Along with its partners, WFY will provide caring support to enable students to focus on their endeavors and have their dreams realized.
